Something Special to Share

I was going to write about my day, but I received an email from Lewis Randa, in Sherborn, MA. Lewis does amazing work. He established the Life Experience School in the 70's for developmentally disabled children and went on to also found The Peace Abbey which I have had the opportunity to visit a number of times. Lewis' email today contained a link to a number of Peace Abbey archival videos of special events that have taken place over the years. There is one of Mother Teresa visiting the school,a film on advocacy and peaceful protest to remove the word "retarded" from the name of the Massachustte state agency that serves the developmentally disabled, and of Stonewalks that honor those who have lost their lives as an unintendeed consequence of war. But the piece that moved me so deeply is entitled the Hallmark of the Peace Abbey. I want to share this with you. It speaks about deep, authentic human connection. You may have to cut and paste the link if doesn't work. It's worth the effort. I also invite you to visit the Peace Abbey site if you would like to learn more.

All is well in Glocca Morra. Sending love.
