The beginning of classes is at hand. Today was a day for doing the mundane, but even the things we have to do, those tasks of daily living should be undertaken with with a conscious intention. They have a sacredness about them because they help us to create our style of living, to organize and beautify our surroundings, to help us feel good about ourselves. Advanced preparation eases anxiety, clearing the way to step into each day with ease of being. Everything that can be done is done and therefore it allows for attending to and being fully in the moment. With the small things out of the way, we can fully engage in our class, our work, and with our friends and family.
I am ready for tomorrow and in a larger sense prepared to step into the academic year. I have organized my desk, loaded my new stapler, filled my pencil holder with new pens, pencils, and highlighters, made copies of music paper for notation, and more. My calendar is up to date,my clothes are clean, my new printer and stick drive are purchased and I am ready to go.
When I wake up tomorrow morning I will spend some time in contemplation asking for all that I will need to be highly successful in my studies and in meeting my goals. I am stepping in to the adventure and on my journey to fulfill my heart's passion. I know I am deeply blessed and I am as well deeply grateful. Thanks to all the University staff and students who have helped me prepare for the coming day.
Love from Glocca Morra
