Well my friends, I am afraid I don't have much exciting to share with you today. Not every day can be exciting. I mean if I tell you about doing my wash and needing instruction from a very kind and patient staff member on how to operate the machines, and all it took was to slam the door of the washer shut, this is not so exciting. Or that I read the first 60 pages of a book in ritual studies while my clothes were sloshing and drying and that I am more than a little boggled by the terminology and that no one seems to be able to clearly agree upon a definition of ritual or a methodology for research because it is so interdisciplinary and multifaceted; well at least I can articulate that much. Now is that exciting? Only to Elayne who as it turns out has a Masters in Ritual Studies, bless you Elayne.
So that has essentially been my day. I did a little cooking, read a lot on ritual studies in my textbook and on line, took my walk and sat and read over a cup of latte(this is becoming a ritual... I think)and generally enjoyed a quiet and productive, rainy day at the University of Limerick.
I hope your day is also productive and peaceful. Love from Glocca Morra
