Creation

I just returned from an amazing tour of the Irish countryside of County Clare. Yes it was the green you expect from the Emerald Isles, and yes it was dotted with facinating ruins along the way, but what I saw was beyond expection. Today we visited the Burren National Park and the Cliffs of Moher. Fodor describes the Burren as having "an other worldly appearance" and I agree. I am unable to upload my pictures, mainly because I am technically challenged, so I will create a link to the tour on YouTube so you can witness these craggy limestone flatrock that go on for further than the eye can see. Everywhere you walk you find the most beautiful and delicate array of wildflowers, ferns and moss. In between each crag in the rocks holds a special mystery. People describe this place as lunar, but surely it is more spectacular for the vegetation that is growing this time of year; and for the ruins, some megalithic tombs as old as 5,000 years and remains of round stone forts, which were actually family homesteads from over a 1000 years ago.

Well, you can tell I am enthused with what I saw and experienced.
I felt like I was walking on a canvas, a canvas of creation, painted by the ultimate sculptor, painter, imagineer. The earth is filled with wonders and the Burren is espcially unique. And if this was not enough, the tour went on to the Cliffs of Moher and well the view from the top to the Atlantic crashing below, magical and mystical.

Here is the link to the video of the tour I was on today. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HgQnOl7SH8
There are a few shots of the bus, but then it is mostly pictures of the amazing terrain. They don't do it justice. If I can figure how how to download my pictures from my phone, I will send those along.

Settled back in my room now after a full day. The sun is shining on the Shannon River just beyond my window, another of the beautuful paintings of the Creator.

Enjoy your Saturday evening.
